Step 1: Learn from the Best
Obviously we sell courses on selling beats, but we’re not here to gloat about how great we are. By “learn from the best”, we mean obtain as much information as you can about marketing your beats. If you want to achieve results, knowledge is one of the most important factors. If you gave somebody a million dollars to build a business, sure they can probably succeed just by spending. But even then, you can waste hundreds of thousands of dollars simply by using bad marketing techniques.
For instance you need to be able to build your numbers for long-term success. Sending a bunch of traffic to a website and making some money should not be your main priority. Instead focus on long term goals like building an email list, getting sustainable traffic to a YouTube account, building your Facebook numbers, and so on.
Step 2: Get the right Tools
Obviously I love using email list building techniques, it’s my favorite form of marketing and I take it very seriously. There’s no easier way to earn some cash if you’re thinking about how to make money selling beats online. I always recommend Aweber for marketers trying to get their music online, because it’s the best email list building system on the planet especially for beginners without coding experience.
Aside from that, there are many other tools to choose from. The question you have to ask yourself is: what are your current goals and how do you want to achieve them? When I ask clients what their goals are, they seem to usually say “My goal is to make $XXXX per month”. The problem with this type of goal setting is that it doesn’t say anything about how you’re actually going to make that money.
If there’s no actual plan to action, then you will likely fail. The biggest reason most small businesses fail is that they do not plan correctly. Do you want to focus strongly on social media, search engines, local marketing or what? If you don’t know exactly what you’re going to do and how you can do it, then you are likely not going to succeed. Some people may have systems that work better for them than a notebook would. But for me, if I want to make money selling beats or doing anything else for that matter, I always put my efforts towards my notebook before I actually start a campaign. The reason is, when I’m typing it seems kind of like a mindless task. I don’t have to focus to type something on a keyboard. But when I’m writing on a notebook with a pen, I am putting my mind to writing it.
What ends up happening is as I write, I come up with new ideas. So I like to pull out the notebook when I am ready to make some moves online. I find it difficult to sort all my thoughts and ideas for a single campaign or marketing tactic without writing it out.
Take advantage of your writing abilities and always write out your ideas. Keep writing through your ideas, too… Meaning poke holes in the ideas that don’t work and put the ideas that will to the top of the priority list. Ask yourself questions on paper, challenge yourself to find future issues with your planned campaigns and fix them before they even arise.
Step 4: Network and Work Your Ass Off
While a lot of the best information on how to rise to power is actually in our immensely powerful eBook “Power”, I’ll go into one other form of building power right now. If you want to make money selling beats you need to network with the producers and artists around you. Try to make deals that provide both you and another party some good opportunities. I love bartering and trading to get yourself to a higher level of success.
The only problem with bartering is that it’s difficult to make sure both ends of the bargain are going to be fulfilled. But this can be powerful as well in it’s own way if you can find ways to bind contracts. Try to do half of the work upfront in exchange for half of their work up front. Deals like that can help you succeed.

Today I wanted to write an interesting article that I think a lot of people will find helpful. Using Credit to Build your Business
Today I wanted to chat about building credit and how to improve your position with your business using credit cards. The first thing I want to say is that when it comes to credit, it’s not exactly a straight forward process to build it. However once you begin as long as you’re smart and reserved, you can not only build your credit score but also your credit limit.
Personally I’ve done a lot for my credit because I am a proud home owner and entrepreneur. To be able to buy a home requires a ton of smart credit building, so let me explain the initial steps, how to avoid getting turned down for approval and more. The first step is to go to your bank, whoever you use for a checking and savings account, and start a secured credit card. If you don’t have a checking account and savings, that is the first step is setting one up.
Personally I always like the credit unions better than anything else. I have an account with a couple credit unions and I like them because generally they are non-profit, so they aren’t going to be cashing in much on your interest rates and overdraft fees etc. But once you have a savings and a checking account created, you’ll just have to come up with a little bit of cash to create a secured credit card.
A secured credit card is basically when you use some of your own money to start a credit card that has a 100% approval rate. The reason you can guarantee approval is because you’re putting your own cash into the card, and you can only spend as much “credit” as is on the card in cash. That way if you put down $300, you have a credit card with $300 credit limit which you can spend money on. It’s safe for the bank because if you mess up and can’t pay them back, you’ll find that the bank will simply use the cash you’ve put up to pay them back in the end. So there’s no risk for the bank, the risk is all on you.
Once you’ve gotten your first credit card through secured means, the next step is to simply spend a little money on your credit card and then pay it off. Generally I suggest just spending $25-$30 per month, and paying it off the following month each time before payment is due. By making small payments like this, you keep your risk low and your credit score will rise very quickly. Plus, then you avoid high interest rates which is basically like throwing money in the toilet. Or, more accurately, throwing money into your bank’s pocket.
After your initial credit has been built up, it’s time to get another credit card. A good credit card to go for is something like a local store credit card because they’re easier to get. Target, Walmart and other large companies which offer credit cards are good news and normally pretty easy to apply for and be accepted into even with small amounts of credit. Be sure to give yourself a good six months minimum of paying onto your secured credit card before going elsewhere with it.
After that, it’s just all about making monthly payments on your credit cards. Nothing will build your credit faster than having multiple accounts, spending only what you can pay back, and paying the cards back each and every month. While I technically can’t call this “financial advice” since I haven’t gone to school for financing, these are some good tips to get you started building credit.
Once your credit is built, the next step is to get a big fat credit card and spend on your business wisely. Sometimes a small loan or credit card is all you need to get your business off the ground officially! Doing Whatever it Takes to Make Money
Today I wanted to chat about how to make money selling beats and with your online business in general. It’s one of those things: you have to be willing to put in the work if you expect to make the kind of money you want to make. Personally I’ve been making beats for the past few weeks and preparing for a massive beat selling campaign I’ve been working hard on.
While I want to wait until I have something like 30+ beats ready to go before I go hard spending on advertising, I think that preparing 30+ beats is something that most people will fail before they finish at. This is why I thought it was so important to write a blog post about doing whatever it takes to get the job done, to make more money online and to start becoming a better financial asset to your life.
Who will actually spend 10 hours a day trying to make their dream work? And let me tell you- the people around you (if you have any) won’t make it easier to do this. I mean preferably you live by yourself or with roommates. Myself personally, I have a kid and a girlfriend. Coming with both of those things is large responsibility. Will you be in a position where if you work 10 hours extra a day, you won’t be stopped or asked to stop?
I know for me sometimes working so much seems like a drag. I don’t get to spend as much time with my family and that’s what matters most to me. However if you want to exceed or start a new campaign, there’s only one way to do that. You need to be willing to put in the work and investment necessary to make it happen and make it work.
Personally I’ve been working overtime lately to get client’s websites done and more. I have some huge plans coming up and actually I have multiple campaigns about to get started. This entire year I’ve been building up to this moment, putting in every last ditch effort I can come up with, in order to make my dreams come true. Though I’ve already achieved many of my life long dreams, I still fall short of many of them.
My financial goals are great, and the weight I put on my own shoulders is extraordinary. I have a lot of people to look after and a lot of expenses to maintain. In order to maintain this and continue to grow, I have to be willing to put in more hours of work than the competition. I need to be willing to actually spend the time on my computer, and sometimes that includes even extra hours in order to debug the computer itself or software issues.
While it may seem like spending 2-3 hours a day making beats is good enough, or maybe that is even harder than you’re currently working, the fact is you need to be willing to put in more time than that if you expect your business to truly succeed. There’s just no way to crank up to the living-wages mark without spending enough time working your ass off to get it off the ground.
Do you think you can succeed without working?
Are you waiting for somebody to come along and pick you up? You’ll be waiting for the rest of your life, statistically speaking, that’s what the odds are.
Are you thinking that running a business is as simple as 1-2-3? Don’t believe the BS you’ll hear from fake marketing gurus. There’s no easy way to run a business when you’re first starting out especially.
Do you already have your business making some money? Well, 80% of businesses shut their doors in the first 5 years. With a website it’s much easier to maintain “open doors”, but will you make enough to live off of 5 years from now?
I’m not here to try to talk you out of making your dreams as a businessman work. I’m here to tell you that without the proper work ethic, you are going to fail. Point blank.

There is one more thing, one VERY important thing, you need to INVEST IN YOURSELF!

How to Start a Beat Selling Business Tomorrow
Today I wanted to speak on the truth behind selling beats online and how the market is currently. I feel like most people have a misinterpretation of selling beats online and don’t know what they’re getting into. While it is definitely harder than you might imagine it being, the fact is that it is possible and it’s not out of reach for normal people like you and me.
The first and most important rule to selling beats is simple. Get ready to work your ass off. Your Business’s BIGGEST Risk

Embrace your failures. Learn from your mistakes. Keep your brain getting SMARTER so your risk gets LOWER… But never stop risking your paycheck, your time or your valuables if you want your business to succeed greatly. Risk is your best friend and your worst enemy. It’s up to YOU to research your risks before taking them, and to make calculated risks.
